The Curveball
Today, something will not go as planned. When this happens, you have two options: you can run face first into that roadblock, or you can find the detour. The choice is yours.
"Aut inveniam viam aut faciam" (I will find a way or make one)
Today, something will not go as planned.
Maybe you thought you were going to mow your grass today, but it's pouring rain outside. Maybe you're playing a game with friends and someone you're playing against is clearly far better than you.
Whatever the situation is, it's going to happen.
That's not a threat or anything: that's just life. We run into these situations in every moment of our days; we have a desired result, and we run into an obstacle along the way.
When this happens, you have two options: you can run face first into that roadblock, or you can find the detour. You can wallow in self-pity that this has occurred, or you can rise to the occasion and accept the new challenge before you.
You can't prevent these curveballs from being thrown at you. Sure, you can plan, and your prior experiences will help guide you so that you don't run into the same obstacles again, but they will continue to be thrown at you.
One of these options makes you a victim of circumstance.
One of these options presents an opportunity to grow and learn.
The choice is yours.
